One of my C# project , database is sql 2102 r2 , its a Winform C# based , i used telerik controls , actually i love telerik , it gives a lot more features to visual studio projects.i also used layering programming and for the database i wrote Linq insted og query or sp.
it has also a option to save database connection string encrypted on registery.and another option to attach or deattach database backup or update.
